Immunisations

An ‘Immunisation’ is medicine given to you by a nurse or doctor, either by a small injection into your arm, or a nose spray, or sometimes a medicine that you drink.

Your carer, social worker or nurse will let you know if you need to have an immunisation.

Most children have immunisations to help keep them healthy and to stop them or others around them getting very poorly.

You might be asked to have some immunisations you needed when you were a baby - this is only if you missed some and to help you stay healthy.

Your carer can find out more about Immunisations you might need here: NHS vaccinations and when to have them.

Bedwetting and going to the toilet

Lots of school aged children wet the bed or have toilet accidents in the day. Some children can find going to the toilet difficult. You and your carer can find out more about it by looking at the websites below or by speaking to your Specialist Children In Care nurse or local school health team. Find out more information.

Sleep
